Brenda Locke has called Surrey home for over 40 years. A former city councillor, she co-founded Surrey Connect in 2020 and was elected Mayor of Surrey on October 15, 2022. Known for her straight-talking style and deep roots in the community, Mayor Locke has made transparency, fiscal responsibility, and public safety the cornerstones of her leadership. She is a mom, a nana, and a neighbour who has spent decades advocating for Surrey residents because she genuinely believes this city deserves better.

Develop a new aquatic facility serving the growing City Centre/Whalley area.
Public Safety Campus
Develop a modern, integrated public safety campus designed to bring essential public safety services, emergency preparedness and infrastructure together and provide Surrey with facilities capable of serving a growing population.
Four-Person Fire Vehicles
Invest in additional four-person fire vehicles to expand operational capacity, improve response times, and provide greater support during emergencies.
Cloverdale/Clayton Aquatic Centre
Build a new aquatic facility to serve the rapidly growing Cloverdale and Clayton areas.
Three New Major Parks
Three major park expansions: Surrey Lake Park, Colebrook Park, and Bridgeview Waterfront Park. Add green space, trails, recreation, and gathering spaces as Surrey grows.
Eight New Sports Fields
Develop eight new sports fields to expand opportunities for soccer, baseball, cricket, and other field sports.
