About
Surrey Connect

We’re Building for Surrey

Surrey Connect is a municipal political party born from a simple conversation at a kitchen table. Founded in January 2020 by two city councillors and a bylaw officer who believed Surrey deserved to be governed better, what started as a small group of concerned residents grew into a movement built on three things: listening to Surrey residents, advocating for what they need, and delivering results.

Born from the Community

Founded by people who live, work, and raise their families here, this movement grew out of a shared frustration with back-door decisions and a lack of accountability at city hall. They ran on a simple promise: restore focus, fairness, and honest leadership to Surrey. On October 15, 2022, Surrey residents answered. Brenda Locke was elected Mayor and the team secured 4 of 8 council seats, more than any other party.

Why We Are Running Again

The work is not finished. Since 2022 Surrey Connect has delivered results that Surrey families can see and feel but there is still more to do. We are running again because this city deserves a team that shows up, follows through, and never stops fighting for the people who call Surrey home. That is not a slogan. That is the reason we got into this in the first place.
